Helping Change Stick Without Slowing Down: Why We Pivoted

The founding team of ProcessPlot: building tools to help teams adapt to change while maintaining productivity
As companies grow, change becomes a regular part of work. New people join, processes shift, and priorities evolve. But even well-planned changes can be hard to make stick.
Over the past months, we've spoken with leaders at fast-growing companies. One point kept coming up: It's not hard to decide what needs to change. The real challenge is helping people adapt while continuing to deliver.
This led us to shift focus.
A Common Problem: Change Is Often Misunderstood or Missed
In growing organizations, teams are moving fast. Everyone is busy, and change efforts can get lost in the day-to-day work.
Here are some problems we heard again and again:
- Teams understand the high-level message, but interpret it in different ways
- People aren't always sure how to adjust their work
- Managers are expected to guide change but don't have the time or tools
- Employees feel worn out from ongoing changes with little support
These challenges are common in almost every company going through growth.
Our Pivot: A Lightweight Way to Support Change as It Happens
We've repositioned ProcessPlot to support change in a simple and structured way. The goal is to make change easier to lead and easier to follow.
ProcessPlot helps teams stay aligned and informed without adding complexity. It works in Slack, Teams, or email. No need to learn a new tool or log into a new system.
Here's what it does:
- Sends short, clear updates about what's changing and why
- Collects weekly signals to understand how teams are responding
- Highlights areas where support is needed, before things drift off track
It all runs in the background and fits into daily work with minimal disruption.
Where It Helps
ProcessPlot is useful in many situations, especially when change is happening for the first time or teams are adjusting to new ways of working.
Examples include:
- Rolling out OKRs or other team-level goals
- Restructuring teams or shifting responsibilities
- Improving collaboration across functions
- Aligning team processes
- Reducing change fatigue during long-term initiatives
The tool gives leaders visibility, helps team leads communicate clearly, and keeps employees informed without extra meetings or manual work.
Looking Ahead
As we continue building ProcessPlot, our focus is clear. We want to help teams adjust how they work, without slowing down what they deliver.
If you're leading a change effort or planning one soon, we'd be glad to hear how you're approaching it.
