Managing multiple organizations

2 min read

ProcessPlot supports organizations and agencies that manage multiple teams, clients, or projects separately. The platform allows for seamless switching between organizations, ensuring data, users, and billing remain isolated per entity.

Below is an overview of how to manage multiple organizations, along with use-case examples.

An organization in ProcessPlot is a dedicated workspace that includes its own:

  • Users: Separate user lists to control access for specific team members.
  • Processes: Distinct processes for each organization, preventing overlap or confusion.
  • Projects: Independent projects tailored to the organization’s goals.
  • Billing: Each organization has its own subscription and billing information. There is no shared billing across organizations.

To switch between organizations:

  1. Locate the organization selector in the left sidebar (above the “Home” button).
  2. Click on the dropdown to view all organizations you’re a part of.
  3. Select the organization you want to manage. The page will reload with the data, processes, and settings specific to the selected organization.

The Profile Page (accessible at https://app.processplot.com/user-profile) provides a clear overview of all the organizations you are part of. This page allows you to manage your profile information and view your organizational memberships. Here’s what you can do:

  • Organization Name: Displays the names of all the organizations you belong to. The active organization is marked with “(active)” to indicate the one currently in use.
  • Role: Shows your assigned role in each organization (e.g., Admin or User).
  • Actions:
    • Leave an Organization: Clicking the red X next to an organization allows you to leave it. Be cautious when using this option, as leaving will revoke your access to its processes, projects, and data.

If you want to create a new organization:

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the My Organizations section.
  2. Click “Click to set up a new organization.”
  3. Follow the prompts to configure the new organization.
